In one paragraph

Singularity is a forecasting engine for science. It reads 163 million research works from every discipline, learns how methods travel from one field to another, and publishes specific, dated forecasts — this method will enter that subfield within three years — each one timestamped with a cryptographic fingerprint and judged against reality. In a sealed confirmation on 2017–2022, 58 of its top 100 forecasts on untouched crossings came true, 229 times chance; on a fresh test in 2023 it passed again, even for classic methods entering fields where nobody used them. Research studies are already coming out of its own forecasts.

Facts that hold up

Every number links to where it is measured.

03

Story angles

“A weather forecast for science”

Meteorologists say “70% chance of rain”. Singularity says “this method is a hundred times more likely than chance to reach your field by 2028” — and keeps score. Replayed on history, more than ninety in a hundred of its top forecasts on untouched crossings got at least a first work.

“The idea that waited 236 years”

Optimal transport went from earthworks in 1781 to AI in 2017. How many breakthroughs are waiting at the wrong door today?

“Forecasts you can't edit”

Every forecast is fingerprinted the day it is made. In 2029 the public will see exactly how many came true.

“From a forecast to a black-hole formula in days”

The team tested its own forecasts: one became a single formula for the vibrations of spinning black holes.
